Sir Evelyn de Rothschild is Chairman of E.L. Rothschild LLC. He is Chairman of the ERANDA Foundation, a family foundation he founded in 1967 to support charities working in the fields of medical research, health and welfare, education and the arts.
Sir Evelyn currently serves as a Governor Emeritus of the London School of Economics and Political Science and is Honorary Life President of Norwood and Ravenswood Children’s Charity. From 1976 until 2003, Sir Evelyn was Chairman and CEO of NM Rothschild and Sons Ltd, the international investment bank which grew from GBP 40 million to GBP 4 billion under his multi-decade leadership. From 1972 until 1989, Sir Evelyn served as Chairman of the Economist Group. He previously served on the Boards of Directors of IMG, De Beers and IBM (UK) and was previously the Deputy Chairman of Milton Keynes Development Corporation. Sir Evelyn was Chairman of St Mary’s Hospital Medical School in London, a Member of the Council of the Shakespeare Globe Trust and President of The Evelina Children’s Hospital Appeal.
He was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 1989 for services to banking and finance.

Lynn Forester de Rothschild is Chief Executive of E.L. Rothschild LLC. She has been a director of The Estee Lauder Companies since December 2000 and The Economist Newspaper Limited (member of the Audit Committee) since October 2002. From 2004-2007, she was also Co-Chair of FieldFresh Pvt. Ltd, a 50-50 joint venture with Bharti Enterprises, established to develop the agricultural sector in India.
Lynn Forester de Rothschild is a trustee of the Peterson Institute for International Economics, the American Fund for the Tate, FAI (Fondo per L’Ambiente Italiano), the ERANDA Foundation (de Rothschild family foundation), the Alfred Herrhausen Society of International Dialogue of Deutsche Bank, an Advisor to the Deutsche Bank Microfinance Consortium and a member of the International Advisory Board of Columbia University School of Law.
She began her career in 1980 as an associate at the law firm of Simpson, Thacher and Bartlett LLP in New York City, where she practiced corporate law. She graduated Phi Betta Kappa from Pomona College in Claremont, California and received her Juris Doctor with honors from Columbia University in New York City.

Eli Goldstein is the Manager and a Partner of E.L. Rothschild LLC where he is responsible for the firm’s global investing activities. Mr. Goldstein focuses on transactional work and deal structuring as well as the ongoing management and operations of E.L. Rothschild’s businesses. His investments include those in Media, Technology, Financial Services and Real Estate.
Prior to joining E.L. Rothschild in 2008, Mr. Goldstein was an Investment Banker in the Global Industries Group at Bear, Stearns and Co. where he focused on M&A transactional advisory in the Transportation & Logistics and Real Estate sectors.
Mr. Goldstein is a member of the Board of Directors of Bronfman E.L. Rothschild LP. He holds a bachelor of science in economics, magna cum laude, from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Principal, E.L. Rothschild LLC
Pardon Makumbe is a Principal of E.L. Rothschild LLC. He focuses on the ongoing management of EL Rothschild’s businesses and on transactional work, including opportunities in frontier and emerging markets.
Mr. Makumbe began his career at Bain and Company in New York, and subsequently worked in private equity at Emerging Capital Partners in Johannesburg, and at Temasek Holdings in Singapore.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University, where he was a Davis United World Colleges Scholar, and graduated as a Palmer Scholar in the top 5% of his MBA class from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Senior Associate, E.L. Rothschild LLC
Nicholas Elledge is a Senior Associate of E.L. Rothschild LLC. He focuses on the ongoing management of E.L. Rothschild’s investments and on transactional work, including Impala Energy Holdings and The Economist Group.
Mr. Elledge began his career as a Business Analyst at McKinsey and Company, and subsequently worked at Emerging Capital Partners Private Equity based in Kenya and at the United Nations.
He graduated Phi Beta Kappa with Honors and Departmental Distinction in Economics from Southern Methodist University with a B.S. and B.A. triple-major in Economics, Political Science, and Public Policy. He also spent a year studying Economics at the London School of Economics.
